We all know that tires can be a big investment but they help keep you and your family safe while out on the road. With tires being a big invesment we wanted to share some tips on how to keep your tires healthy so they can last a while.
One common reasons tires fail earlier than expected is improper tire pressure. By checking your tire pressure regularly can help you keep your tires in good shape and help you from being stranded out on the road. Tires that are over-inflated are more likely to be damaged when striking something. Under inflated tires can cause uneven tire wear which can lead to premature fire failure. The best thing to do is to keep the PSI in your tires at the recommend pressure either found on your tire or your cars door jam sticker.
Different spots on your car demands different things for your tires. For example in a front wheel drive car the front tires are taking a larger proportion of the torque being put out, which means its taking on more when accelerating, braking, turning, etc. so by rotating your tires about every 5,000 miles and help ensure all of your tires are taking on even wear to help last.
Although Team Tire does not offer car alignments does not mean we don't understand the importance of keeping your car in good alignment. By keeping your car in good alignment, it will help prevent uneven tire wear helping your tires last.
Keeping your tires balanced will not only help make your ride smoother but will help keep your tires wearing evenly.
